Strickland Media began in 1986 in the small town of Pelham Massachusetts where the Strickland brothers first discovered the wonders of a Sony VHS camcorder. By the age of seven the boys were already creating dynamic stop motion animation and using the camera to tell stories that emphasized humor and imagination. After moving to Detroit, Tom, Lon, and George continued exploring the many facets of filmmaking, excelling in the realm of performance and sound design. Lon created his first award winning film at the age of sixteen.
Fast forward to present day, Tom has gone on to become one of the most highly sought sound engineers in the Metro Detroit area while George manages AV for live events in and around Detroit's iconic Renaissance Center. Lon moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and has made a living utilizing his many filmmaking skills from working on the ground floor of numerous major studio motion pictures to a high level development executive role for Warner Brothers and is a co-founder of Octopie, an animation company that specializes in series development for major networks. Lon formed Strickland Media in 2021 to hone in on his favorite aspects of filmmaking, providing invaluable production and post-production services to Hollywood's creative community.
